In 1984 we were appointed by 3M Singapore as the authorized distributor of their data storage products. Due to the commitment of the Pan Audio and the remarkable success that was recorded, the company was soon appointed as the authorized distributor of 3M commercial office supplies within a span of 3 years. In 1989 we were appointed as the sole distributor of 3M visual products. Today we have grown our business rapidly at a steady growth rate of over 25% per annum despite grueling economic, social and political conditions in the country. We are sole distributors of 9 reputed global brands such as Imation, Eiki, HP (imaging and printing), Quantum, Backbone, Primo, Red Leaf, 3M (optical), Herma etc, in Sri Lanka. Over the years we have won many accolades and awards from our principals for our untiring efforts.
To name a few we have won the “ Best of Best” award from HP and Innovative Programme Award and Most Promising Distributor Award” from Imation. The company has increased the product portfolio over the years and divisions such as Computer Support Division, Storage Solutions Division, Presentation Systems Division and Technical Support Division were introduced. Our staff strength over the years has grown from 3 to over 60 We have diversified into other areas of business such as floor care & maintenance products (Pan Care) and pharmaceuticals (Sterling Pharmaceuticals) It is significant to note that Pan Audio as an organization is engaged in business sectors that are the fastest growing in the world: IT & Pharmaceuticals.

Established in 1994, Pan Care Private Ltd commenced its operations by marketing 3M matting, floor pads, chemicals (floor care) shatter proof film and defrost film. Pan care was appointed as the sole authorized distributor of 3M commercial care products.
Pan Care has established strong business relationships with state! cooperation and mercantile organizations in the hospitality, janitorial, banking and insurance sectors.
Sterling Pharmaceuticals
This company was set up to distribute pharmaceuticals (vitamins, antibiotics and other products) produced by Novel Drugs South India. Due to the success of the sales and marketing efforts we are now in the process of importing pharmaceuticals from another company thus widening the range of products.

As corporate entity we have always shown an interest in investing In the future, particularly in children. The health and wellbeing of children should be the responsibility of the present generation. We commenced our social responsibility programme in association with Imation in 2002 by providing one glass of milk once a week for 275 students at Rukmal Maha Vidyalaya at Panripitiya. We extended this programme to two other schools in the following years (Bagawathi Maha Vidyalaya Kirulopane and Rahula Kanishta Vidyalaya ) where we give a glass of milk to 400 students from each school.
Today we provide a glass of milk on a weekly basis to 1100 students. This may be a drop in the ocean in eradicating malnutrition in Sri Lanka but we sincerely hope that others would follow our example.
